Product description
The product is an aqueous solution of xylenesulfonic acid, a strong non‑oxidising aromatic sulfonic acid consisting of a mixture of dimethylbenzenesulfonic acid isomers. It is manufactured at the HABRINOL Děčín s.r.o. plant and is intended primarily as an acid catalyst and hardener for resin systems, a reaction intermediate and a pH adjuster in industrial formulations.

Areas of application
- Acid catalyst and hardener for phenolic, furan and other acid‑curing resin systems, especially in the production of foundry moulds and cores
- Catalyst in the production and modification of resins, coatings and adhesives
- Catalyst for organic reactions, e.g. esterification and other acid‑catalysed processes
- Intermediate for the production of dyes, pigments, surfactants and speciality chemicals
- Hydrotrope and solubiliser in selected cleaning and industrial formulations
- pH control and other special industrial applications
Safety and handling
The product is a strong organic acid with corrosive properties. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing and do not inhale the aerosol. Wear suitable protective gloves, protective clothing and eye or face protection when handling. Use acid‑resistant equipment and materials. Storage
Store in tightly closed, properly labelled containers in a cool, dry place. The recommended storage temperature is 5–25 °C. Containers made of suitable plastic, glass or other acid‑resistant construction are recommended for storage. At temperatures below 5 °C, turbidity or a fine sediment may form; homogeneity can usually be restored by gently warming the product to storage temperature and mixing.
Packaging and delivery
The product can be supplied in plastic drums, jerrycans, IBC containers or in bulk by road tanker. Specific container sizes and delivery terms are subject to commercial agreement.
